More than 150 years ago, Eliza Elizabeth Boon Dodson staked her claim on pristine range land just south of Jacksboro, TX and established what is now Richards Ranch. It was not an easy life with the area being the western edge of civilization and deep in the middle of Comanche territory. Despite this she persevered with hard work, grit, and determination and established a legacy that lives on today.

 

Seven generations later, we still strive to uphold those same familial values while always keeping an eye on progress and improvement. To prove this, we have dedicated the last 40 years to holistically managing and improving our business, grass and rangeland, and commercial hunting operation. Throughout all of this, we have always tried to do things the right way and have been able to cultivate a place that is truly special for everyone.
