A Christmas Story Trail Ride

Would you like to recall the true story of the greatest story ever told?

Then Come Ride A Ranch, a 7th Generation Texas family ranch that’s been Blessed Since 1865 and find the Real & True Meaning of Christmas with us under the same fence of 15,000 acres that carries the Figure 3 Brand, The Richards Ranch, just a few miles South of Jacksboro, Texas.

Here, we’ll share the recounting facts of the birth of Christ Jesus on a Christmas Story Trail Ride experience like no other for the entire family and your friends as we all Ride A Ranch!  Bring your own well mannered mount or lease a ranch horse that we have limited availability of, so plan early.

​

The Richards Ranch Horse Headquarters Outdoor Arena will be our gathering place. It will be available for you to come saddle and warm up from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm when the ride starts. During our Warm-up time, the Chuckwagon will be serving Dinner, yes, the middays noontime meal. So don’t forget to make your Breakfast, Dinner or Supper reservations with us.  The ride will last approximately 3 hours from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The ride will include a Chuckwagon Supper meal topped off with Christmas Cobblers.

The ride will be available on each of the first three Saturday’s in December so don’t worry about the weather. If you book a day and we are blessed with moisture and conditions are unfavorable for a safe and enjoyable excursion just plan on seeing us the next weekend. A Liability Release Waiver must be signed by each participant and or by legal guardians for riders under the age of 18. Helmets aren’t required but certainly suggested based upon your experience and riding level ability and gentleness of your horse. This ride is on open range, NOT Groomed Trails. it will come with all of the challenges that flat rock, tall belly rubbing grass, prickly pear, cattle and wildlife critters can deliver in the Mesquite breaks. And don’t forget about the wind and water, either way, you’ll get the true Western Experience with a clear understanding of the Birth of Our Savior in Jesus Christ.  

Be sure to have the kinks rode out of’em and Cinchas snug as the recounting of the Biblical Legend FACTS begin at 2:00 pm at the Richards Ranch Horse Headquarters. We’ll ride out as soon as the story is told and return just a few minutes before Sundown. Supper on the Chuckwagon is at 6:00 pm, After you have tended to your Hoss. Have someone unable to ride but wants to hear the story and join us for the meals? No problem, load’em and bring’ ‘em as we’ll have a full evening of barn chores, games and more fun than imaginable.

Current Coggins Papers will be required on all horses entering the ranch.
